Planning a 3-week India trip with the family (2 adults, 2 kids) for December. Business class tickets are $4000+ per person. What credit card strategy do you use to fly Business Class to India on points? I currently have Chase Sapphire and Amex Gold.

I fly Business Class to India every year on points. Here's the playbook: **Best redemptions for India:** - Air Canada Aeroplan: 75K points one-way in J class on Air India/EVA/ANA. Transfer from Amex/Chase. - ANA Mileage Club: 88K roundtrip (!!) in Business on Star Alliance. Best deal in points world. - Emirates Skywards: 72.5K one-way in Business. Transfer from Amex. **Card strategy:** - Chase Sapphire Reserve (primary card) โ 3x on dining+travel - Amex Platinum โ 5x on flights booked through Amex - Chase Ink Preferred โ 3x on business categories, 80K bonus - Capital One Venture X โ transfers to Air Canada For a family of 4, you need ~300K-350K points for roundtrip Business. Achievable in 12 months through welcome bonuses alone. Sign up for Chase Ink + Amex Platinum + Capital One Venture X = ~280K points from bonuses.
Don't sleep on Amex transfer to ANA. 88K roundtrip in Business is insane value. The catch: you have to book roundtrip and availability is limited. Set Google Flights alerts for Air India direct routes and check ANA award search 330 days out.
